Huron Pines is a nonprofit organization in Grayling whose mission is to conserve the forests, lakes and streams of northeast Michigan. Since 1973, Huron Pines has coordinated projects to directly restore deteriorated and threatened ecosystems, minimize the negative impacts of development and help community’s better plan how to protect their watersheds. Huron Pines AmeriCorps members at Huron Pines assist with volunteer coordination, developing new conservation services, outreach, and increasing environmental stewardship.
