My name is Chris and I am the Huron Pines implementation coordinator. During my year of service, I'll be working with resource professionals and landowners to manage lands, lakes, and streams to better the environment.
I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in fisheries and wildlife. At MSU, I was a member of the Fisheries and Wildlife Club and was its president in 2007. This year will be my second term as an AmeriCorps member; in 2008, I served in Nevada as a forest restoration technician conducting biological surveys throughout the Spring Mountains. With Huron Pines AmeriCorps, I hope to gain knowledge of the Northeast Michigan landscape and to develop management plans for landowners in the area.
