My name is Dan and I am the Huron Pines water quality specialist. During my year of service, I'll be developing and implementing water monitoring and stormwater projects on the Au Sable and Upper Manistee Rivers.

I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in biology and worked for the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality's Remediation and Redevelopment division until retiring in 2002. I enjoy hunting, fishing, boating, and other outdoor sports. During my year of service, I hope to exceed the expectations of Huron Pines AmeriCorps by improving the water quality in the region.
