"The environment is where we all meet; where we all have a mutual interest;
it is the one thing that all of us share. It is not only a mirror of ourselves, but
a focusing lens on what we can become...

My name is Kristin and I am the monitoring specialist for Michigan Council of Trout Unlimited. During my year of service, I'm designing and implementing a volunteer stream monitoring program, as well as promoting other programs and recruiting volunteers.

I graduated from Winona State University in Minnesota with a BS degree in biology-ecology and will graduate in 2009 from Grand Valley State University with an MS degree in biology-aquatic science. I am currently studying Dreissena mussels in Great Lakes coastal wetlands. I enjoy the outdoors, camping, biking, running, hiking, soccer, pets, and cooking. This year, I hope to create a successful volunteer stream monitoring program for the MCTU.
