My name is Casey and I'm the Outreach Specialist for Huron Pines. My responsibilities include coordinating the public outreach and organizational marketing programs of Huron Pines, building program support through the production of materials, assisting with publication of quarterly newsletters and an annual report, developing and tracking media contacts, working with staff to develop project updates for the website, and creating and distributing press releases.
I attended the University of Michigan, where I graduated in 2006 with a degree in History and Environmental Science. I am working on getting my Master Gardener certification and also work part-time at Amical in Traverse City.
One goal I have for this year is to increase the awareness of the Huron Pines AmeriCorps program and AmeriCorps service in Northern Michigan.
